Gallery 3K: Prints by Ishiwata Koitsu

Koitsu Ishiwata (1897 - 1987) began his career as a fabric designer. He became a woodblock print artist in 1930 working for the Shin Hanga publisher Shozaburo Watanabe. His miniature prints frequently adorned holiday greeting cards, thus the heavy emphasis on snow scenes.
